Are you the type of person that can't decide what you would like to do with your life - or are just afraid to pull the trigger and go for it?

I get it.

It's scary to start something new, especially if you don't know how well you'll like your new lifestyle. That's why I always recommend trying new things on for size before committing. Just explore the possibilities and nothing more.

Instead of fully committing and charging forward at warp speed, why not take the fear out of it and see how you like your new experience first. If it's a keeper, just keep moving in that direction. If not, try something new.

The fact is, most everything you've ever done in your life happened because you stumbled into it and decided to stay - at least now you'll be doing it fully aware.

Wouldn't it be nice to improve the lives of every person you connect with this week?

When you understand that your "life experience" is made up of a series of "daily experiences" you instantly look differently at your power to impact others.

What happens at work, in the classroom, even at home with your family gives you an incredible opportunity to increase the influence you have on others.

Try this for the next few days.

Every time you find yourself potentially impacting another person, take a moment and think about how you might improve their experience by asking yourself a simple question, "What experience do I want them to have?" Then - create it!

Yes, if you think about it, you can determine the outcome in advance - and that's a sure way to improve every relationship you have.

Are you overwhelmed with the clutter in your life?
I think it's time to take a different approach.
Clearing the clutter from all aspects of your life is the biggest challenge you'll face when trying to change your life.  You simply can't manage everything forever.  Clutter never stops building, there will always be more, and you will always need to control it.
Since that's the case, I have a suggestion; instead of stressing about all the stuff you need to unload from your life, why not "Curate Your Clutter."
Whether it's emotional, physical, relationships, or your job, all this stuff in your life must have some importance to you - maybe.  When you become the "Curator of your life" you begin to prioritize, organize, and maintain your REAL treasures as if they were in a museum that represents what you love most about your life - and you get rid of what remains.
It's your museum, why not make it a perfect representation of YOU?

There's a law in the Universe known as "The Law of Reciprocity" - and I'd bet it's keeping you from getting what you want.
Reciprocity in action happens when another person chooses to do you a favor.  A gift, service, an introduction, just about anything.  It feels great!  However, when you accept you automatically feel the need to reciprocate and are instantly in debt to the person who did the good deed.  That's the "Law of Reciprocity."
How do you avoid the trap?
The simple trick to not owing everybody who invokes the Law of Reciprocity without your permission is to decline the offer right away. Just say, "No thanks."
The next method is to recognize that just because somebody insists on doing you a favor, you are NOT obligated to reciprocate - although you'll sure feel like you should.  Just say, "No."
Finally, if it's YOU that initiates the favor, remember that the same rules apply when coming from the other side.

I have a friend who is always asking a simple question, "What happens next?"

Most folks pause when they hear his question and almost never arrive at his expected answer, "EVERYTHING!"

I'll admit that it's easy to get caught up in your past and everything that is demanding your attention at this moment to take in the very simple nature of his question.

No matter where you are in your life today, EVERYTHING will follow.

Good, bad, happy, sad, exciting and boring - the entirety of your life sits before you just waiting for you to grab it by the horns and give it more than an eight-second rodeo ride.

Today, why not choose what happens next?

You might be surprised how fun things get!

How much is good enough?
I received an email from a fellow MTMer who made the decision to change careers and become a Surgical Assistant - at about the age most folks start thinking about retirement.
Mike, shared a useful saying he's heard many times in operating rooms -
"The evil of good-enough is better."
In other words, once you've accomplished your goal, stop messing around and move on.  The more you poke around, the more chances you'll have to make a mistake or do more harm than good.
I bet that sounds familiar.  I know it did for me.
Such a simple concept.  I like simple.  Simple works.

It's a new week - and that means another opportunity for you to continue your quest for your best life.

But, what exactly will it take for you to design and get what you want?

I've had the good fortune to have had many mentors in my life - and all of the made a point of validating that I possessed three characteristics before they agreed to work with me - something I now do, as well.

Would you pass the test?

Do you have a burning desire to achieve your goal?

Are you a coachable person and prepared to accept the wisdom and guidance of others?

Do you have the willingness to do undertake whatever effort is required achieve your success?

Going it alone and doing things your way may get you started, but you'll only realize upper levels of success with the help of others.

Now that you know what they're seeking, isn't it time for you to get out there and find a mentor that will help you accelerate your journey?

I was on a Click Coaching call recently when one of our participants stopped me in my tracks with a simple comment.
We were chatting about creating and designing our life experience when he said, "I used to be a Musterbator.  I must do this, I must do that, someday I MUST get this stuff done.  Then one day, I just did it."
We all laughed - but it made total sense.
Are you punishing yourself with all your MUSTings - instead of enjoying the process of doing what you love?
When you live each day with a constant vision of how you want your experience to be, you'll find yourself happily making core ections, adjustments, and getting things done - just because you want to.

I have a challenge for you this week.

Your lifestyle is a direct reflection of the five people who are closest to you. If they are positive, you are positive. If they are negative, so are you. If they have money, so do you. Broke, you too!

Choosing who you pay attention to can is tricky, as well.

After spending a few hours cleaning email after a recent trip, I arrived at the conclusion that merely exposing myself uninvited emails of others has the potential to turn their agenda into my To-Do list - taking me completely off track.

So, what about that challenge?

I want you to avoid getting sucked into the email and social media traps that are being set for you this week. Think for yourself. Remember, if you buy in the opinion of others, you also buy into their lifestyle. Make sure you want it.
